Booking Policy

Pemberton Masonic Hall, hereby referred to as PMH, ask all clients to read and accept the booking conditions when confirming a booking, which are hereby listed and will supercede any verbal agreement made with any PMH staff.

  1. Bookings are cosidered provisional until a deposit has been paid and written letter of confirmation sent or handed to the client.

  2. PMH would require confirmed numbers seven days prior to the function date to ensure adequate staffing is provided.

  3. All deposits are non refundable in the event of cancellation.

  4. Any deposits not paid more than 4 weeks prior to the function, PMH reserve the right to deem that function cancelled by the client without any liabilty whatsoever.

  5. All cheques to be made payable to Pembeton Masonic Hall.

  6. The client is fully liable for any damage to fixtures and fittings that may occur by persons attending the function, the clients subcontractors either directly or indirectly caused.

  7. The client may not sublet the property under any circumstances.

  8. The client must not hang any items from the suspended ceilling and must obtain permission from the hall manager for the use of thumb tacks and blue tac. The client must ensure that no damage occurs to the decor. NO STICKY TAPE WHATSOEVER.

  9. No offensive flags, banners or notices are allowed and it is the manager's discretion to remove such offensive items. The manager's discretion is final.

  10. PMH shall not be responsible for personal effects and property belonging to the client, subcontractor employees or guest brought on to the premises.

  11. The client's statutory rights to protection under the law in relation to any defect of the premises are unaffected. Any accident or incident must be reported at the time and will be recorded by the manager or staff.

  12. PMH will not be liable for any damage or loss to any vehicle parked on the car park. Security/monitoring is available to minimize any damage. Please liase with the hall manager for future information.

  13. No wines, spirits or beers may be brought on to and consumed on the premises. All drinks and beverages must be purchased from the bar.

  14. In the event of PMH allowing wines to be brought on to and consumed on the premises, is at the sole discretion of the manager. A corkage charge will be applied.

  15. PMH shall not be liable to the client for any loss due to the breakdown of machinery, failure of gas, electricity, water supply, leakage of water, government restriction, fire or act of god, which may cause PMH to be temporarily closed or cause a function to be disrupted or canceled.

  16. The right of entry by the police at any time during a function booked by the client is considered acceptable by PMH upon police request.

  17. Underage drinking is not permitted nor the buying of drink for underage guests. This is against the law and any such drink will be confiscated and the person asked to leave.

  18. The client is responsible for the taking of all reasonable steps to keep good order and assist the management of PMH to expel anyone attending the function whose behaviour is unacceptable.

  19. PMH have the only sole caterer Fresh Choice Catering(NW) Ltd. PMH kitchen facilities are only to be used by Fresh Choice Catering(NW) Ltd any other unauthorised usage of kitchen will cause the client to breach the conttract.

  20. As we are a residential area, please respect our neighbours when entering and leaving the premises, particularly the levels of noise.

  21. A list of discos and entertainers is available if required. Clients may use their own.

  22. There is NO SMOKING on the premises and in the entrance.

  23. All communications and correspondences relating to the booking and function at PMH must be sent to the hall manager.

  24. PMH WILL NOT HOST 18th Birthday celebrations.
